Zirconia Ceramic Products Are Facing Big Pressure Of Price Increase
On the evening of August 6, Orient Zirconic, a major Chinese manufacturer of zirconia ceramic powders and zirconium series products, issued a price increase announcement. Zirconium oxychloride products (including mother liquor) and zirconium dioxide products were raised by RMB 3,000/ton and RMB10,000/ton respectively. At the same time, the price of other downstream zirconium products of the company will increase by 15% simultaneously. This is the fifth time that Orient Zirconic has raised the price of zirconium series products this year, and the rate of increase has increased significantly.
Since the beginning of this year, due to the production suspension of major foreign zirconium suppliers and the rapid demand increase for zirconium dioxide and other zirconium products after the economic recovery, zircon sand and the entire zirconium series is in short supply. Research organization TZMI predicts that the current shortage of zirconium market may continue until 2022 if there is no new mining area or the suspended production of RBM, a South African zircon sand supplier, is not resolved.
Affected by the rising price of raw materials, our company's zirconia ceramic products, such as zirconia ceramic blades, zirconia ceramic plungers, zirconia ceramic valve seats &valve balls and other zirconia ceramic custom parts, are facing big pressure of price increase. In order to ensure the interests of existing cooperative customers, our company will still keep the existing prices unchanged within the acceptable range, but it does not rule out the possibility that some products will rise.
