Zirconia Ceramic

Mascera produces pin gauges made of zirconia in specific dimensions, precisely machined using CNC equipment. These gauges have an accuracy of 0.001mm, are non-conductive and non-magnetic, and offer good wear resistance and strong corrosion resistance. They are dimensionally stable and reliable, with a lifespan 5-10 times longer than steel pin gauges, and feature high strength and corrosion resistance.

Because of excellent properties in mechanical and chemical aspects, zirconia ceramic (zro2 / zirconium oxide) was found a good application as ceramic valve parts, such as ceramic valve balls, ceramic valve seats, ceramic valve liners, ceramic valve bodies. Zirconia ceramic valve parts have good durability, superior abrasion resistance and chemical inertness, they hardly react with most chemical media, The using of zirconia ceramic valve parts can effectively separate the corrosive fluid medium from the metal valve body, greatly improving the working life of valves. Currently, ceramic valve parts are widely used in flue gas desulfurization, chlor-alkali chemical industry, petrochemical industry, coal chemical industry, thermal power generation etc.

Mascera offers custom production for zirconia ceramic rings, they are made of extreme hard zirconia ceramic (ZrO2, Zirconium Oxide), the hardness is up to Moh's grade 8.5 which is very close to that of dimond (Moh's grade 10), therefore zirconia ceramic rings can be machined with diamond machining tools only. The ceramic rings are made of superfine raw powders and fully dense, a mirror surface could be achieved after fine grinding and polishing.

Zirconia ceramic grinding media are suitable for superfine grinding of electronic paste/ceramic powder/magnetic materials/battery materials/rare-earth materials/non-metallic mine/paints/pigment/printing ink/triple superphosphate/pesticide/food materials/medicine materials etc in sand mills/strip mills/attrition mills/tumbling ball mill.
Comparing to grinding media like Al2O3 balls, zirconium silicate balls, steel balls, agate balls, glass balls, Yttria stabilized zro2 balls have higher density, higher hardness and higher fracture toughness, leading to longer lifespan and better grinding efficiency.
