Mascera produces silicon nitride (Si₃N₄) substrates designed for applications where alumina and aluminum nitride cannot meet reliability requirements. Compared with Al₂O₃, Si₃N₄ offers far higher mechanical strength and fracture toughness, and unlike AlN, it delivers superior thermal shock resistance and bending strength, making it ideal for power modules subjected to vibration, impact and rapid temperature cycling. Mascera provides custom Si₃N₄ substrates with precision laser machining, polishing and metallization to support both prototype and mass production.
